Video: Sonorous’ Michelle Wells and Heather Strickland Talk ‘The Wolves’

Production shot for THE WOLVES.

Sarah DeLappe’s The Wolves explores what it is to be a teenage girl, but dives deeper into what it means to be a woman in an ever-changing world. DeLappe’s debut play
was a finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama; the production won an Obie Ensemble Award; it won a special Drama Desk Award for its acting ensemble, and was nominated for Lucille Lortel and Drama League awards for Best Play, as well as for the Outer Critics’ Circle John Gassner Award for Outstanding New American Play.

Next week, The Wolves opens at Sonorous Road Repertory. Director Michelle Wells and Heather Strickland sat down with RDU on Stage to discuss the production, the language of the piece, and the importance of women’s voices in theater.

The Wolves runs February 15th – March 3rd. This is the first show for which Sonorous is selling assigned seats, so Wells recommends getting tickets early. For more information visit: https://sonorousroadrep.org/the-wolves/.
