Theatre Raleigh Announces Full Casting for CITY OF ANGELS

Real life husband and wife Adam Halpin (DEAR EVAN HANSEN, IN THE HEIGHTS) and Megan McGinnis (LITTLE WOMEN, LES MISERABLES) lead the upcoming Theatre Raleigh production of City of Angels.

With music by Cy Coleman, and book by Larry Gelbart, the Tony Award-winning musical centers on a bookish writer of detective stories who struggles to adapt his crime novel into a workable screenplay with the help of a fictitious, hard-boiled private eye named Stone.

City of Angels has been a bucket list show for me ever since I saw the original cast on Broadway when I was 16,” says Theatre Raleigh’s Producing Artistic Director Lauren Kennedy Brady.

“I’ve had it on my list to direct for 10 years,” she adds. “We never had the space or technical abilities to do it justice, and now with the brand-new facility, I believe we can accomplish it.”

The production, which Brady directs and choreographs, opens Theatre Raleigh’s new Main Stage this August.

City of Angels runs August 3 through 14. For more information visit https://theatreraleigh.com/.
