Lauren Van Hemert is an award-winning arts journalist and founder of Beltline to Broadway. In 2019, she was recognized by WRAL-TV Viewers as Best Podcaster in the Triangle, which covers Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. She has also been a featured guest on the Artist Soapbox, In Your City, and American Theatre’s Off Script podcasts. For her coverage and support of the Black Lives Matter Movement, Lauren received the Raleigh Medal of Arts and was recognized by Six Broadway as a Queen of the Week. She is a member of the American Theatre Critics Association, Society of Professional Journalists, and Education Writers Association. She resides in Raleigh with her husband, two children, and rescue dog, Lady. @beltlinetobroadway.
