Seema Kukreja is an accomplished actor, writer, singer & director and has worked for many productions both in India and the RTP, NC area, the most notable of those being Chakra, The Great Celestial Cow, Secret Garden, Safdar’s troupe, Black Nativity and The Women. Besides acting, Seema also has been actively involved with writing, directing and doing stand-up comedy at local and international events. She has been involved with storytelling shows at Triangle Radio Reading Service, a local radio station for the visually impaired. She was also recently selected as a voice talent for the UNCTV talent labs. Seema was featured in the prominent local media for her path-breaking roles of Empress Draupadi, Sita and Udip – the protagonists, bringing many thought provoking subjects to light.
Seema holds two Master’s degrees (MBA and MHA) from Georgia State University, where she was also elected as a Philanthropy Chair and successfully raised funds for her school. In the corporate world, Seema has worked in the areas of Finance, IT, and Healthcare for over 20 years. In addition to that, she has extensive mentorship experience in conducting role-plays, theatrical workshops for local events. When not in training or on stage, Seema enjoys reciting and writing poetry and song making with her 7-year-old daughter-an artist in the making. Seema feels immensely grateful for her supportive husband and all her family in India and US, who have been her backbone in all that she has achieved in the field of arts and in her professional life. She continually strives to spread joy and touch people’s hearts through her work.
