About the Guest

DAVID ADAM GILL is a Brooklyn based writer. His first full-length play, Providence, was originally produced at Transient Theater in Chicago, and made its New York premiere at Roy Arias Stages in October 2015. The Roly Poly’s also presented a reading of Providence in December 2017, directed by Janet Bentley. His next three plays, Experimenting with Katz, Irregulars, and Unfinished constitute his F*cked-up Family Trilogy! Irregulars was given a staged reading in September 2016 at the Playroom Theater and was part of The PlayGround Experiment’s inaugural First Reads play festival. Experimenting with Katz was given a staged reading in November 2017 and had its world premiere at Theaterlab NYC in September 2018. His short play More Myself Than I Am – the first of his Bronte Trilogy – debuted as part of Shiyr Productions’ Shiyr Terror: Terrifyingly Funny short play festival, and was subsequently seen in Axial Theatre’s Twisted Valentines Festival, The Secret Theatre’s Act One: One Act Festival (Winner – Best Play), and Manhattan Repertory Theatre Short Play Festival (Winner – Best Play). His play Fault Lines was seen in NATCs’ Blurring Boundaries 2020 and The Secret Theatre’s LIC Short Play Festival 2019 (Finalist). His play Wee Annie’s Hold was part of NATC’s octoberFEARfest 2019 as well as The Secret Theatre’s Act One: One Act Festival 2020. The second play in his Bronte Trilogy, A Most Egregious Way, debuted as part of NATC’s Heartbroke: an evening of short plays for the broken 2020. For New Ambassadors he’s also penned episodes for The Great Escapism Volumes 1 & 2 (A Sensitive Palate & That Special Place), and The Corona Chronicles Series 1 (Love in the Time of Corona). Additionally, David has co-authored two television pilots with Tony Nation, of which Fully Furnished was shot in the Spring of 2018. As a director, David has worked with Axial Theatre, The Broadway Bound Theatre Festival, Aery Theatre’s 20/20 Festival, Amios’ The Office Shotz, and New Ambassadors Theatre Company. David teaches Playwrighting Workshops both in Pleasantville, NY & in NYC, and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America. David is the co-founder and Artistic Director for New Ambassadors Theatre Company and curates their monthly play development lab series.
