Live Chat: Nailing Your Video Audition

With more and more auditions going virtual during this pandemic, there’s got to be some tricks and tips to filming a video audition. RIght? We’re talking about it with two pros, Erin Sullivan (HAIRSPRAY, SHREK) and Morgan Piner ( BRIGHT STAR, UNION). Hear what they have to say about nailing that video audition (stage work, film work, commercials).

Erin Sullivan built her career playing the favorite blonde bombshells of the musical theatre repertoire. Sullivan performed around the country in the National Tours of HAIRSPRAY as Amber Von Tussle in over 300 performances, as Frenchy in GREASE, and in THE WEDDING SINGERand SHREK. She recently appeared in the developmental lab of a new musical HAZEL: A MAID IN AMERICAdirected by the legendary Lucie Arnaz and choreographed by Chet Walker. Sullivan developed and originated the role of Marilyn Monroe in a new play by Tony Award-winning playwright Mark Medoff entitled MARILEE AND BABY LAMB: THE ASSASSINATION OF AN AMERICAN GODDESSwhich had its premiere at the Rio Theatre in Las Cruces, NM. In 2014, she released her first book entitled ‘Theatrical Baggage’ – a manual, workbook, and bible on how to survive a National Tour and Other Gigs. Morgan Piner is Native North Carolinian and proud alumna of North Carolina State University and Circle in the Square Theatre School. Morgan played the role of saucy magazine editor, Lucy as well as wearing the hat of Choreographer to sold out audiences of TheatreFest’s Bright Star.  Currently, Morgan is collaborating with David Burney of the Johnny Folsom 4 on The project “Hello, I’m Johhny Cash” as well as  filming Scott Martin’s UNION. For more info or coaching opportunities visit https://www.morganpiner.com/.
