ON YOUR FEET with Iliana Garcia

Iliana Garcia grew up in Tampa, Florida. She tells Beltline to Broadway that Gloria Estefan’s music was deep-rooted in her childhood, which is why it means so much to her to be playing the pop icon in North Carolina Theatre’s production of On Your Feet.

On Your Feet chronicles Estefan’s career from the early days of The Miami Sound Machine to the devastating accident that almost ended her career.

Hear what Garcia has to say about channeling her inner Gloria Estefan, why representation onstage matters, and how Sutton Foster started it all.

The North Carolina Theatre production of On Your Feet runs August 9 – August 14. For more information visit https://nctheatre.com/.
