Women’s Theatre Festival Virtual reading of Seeds by Donna Hoke

Every Monday and Thursday, the Women’s Theatre Festival is hosting virtual events via Twitch featuring readings and discussions with acclaimed playwrights. This week, local performers Laura Parker, Noelle Azarelo, Byron Jennings III, Renee Winberly, and Diana Bernardo will be reading Donna Hoke’s play Seeds, followed by a discussion with the playwright. The Justice Theater Project – 12 Angry Jurors Free Webinar

The Justice Theater Project invites you to watch either the 1957 film version of 12 Angry Jurors (which is available free online) or the 1997 film version, which is available on demand for $3.99 and then attend a free virtual webinar with Jerry Sipp, JTP’s Artistic Director and Dr. Kaye Evans, a JTP Board Member Friday night. Burning Coal Theatre Peter Pan and Wendy

Every week, Burning Coal is streaming one of their productions on Twitch. This week, you can watch Peter Pan and Wendy, based on the works of J.M. Barrie and adapted by Lillian White. When Burning Coal produced the world-premiere of this play several seasons ago, it sold out. It also ran at the BorderLight International Theatre + Fringe Festival last summer. Cary Playwrights’ Forum’s ‘ChrysalisFacebook Live Performance

Project Chrysalis is an initiative to develop a new full-length (at least 60 minutes long) play from staged reading to full production. From the submitted plays, a small group of finalists will be showcased in a night of staged readings. Audiences will then vote for the play they want to see produced in a future CPF stage production. Local actress and activist Rebecca Jackson-Artis has launched the global premiere of her web series Totally Becky on YouTube. Watch the first three episodes anytime for free.
