
It wouldn’t be Christmas without an onslaught of Hallmark channel holiday movies. However, this year more than ever it seems, this sugary sweet holiday staple is a welcomed diversion from politics, the pandemic, and negative rhetoric.
For some residents of the Carolinas, Christmas came early. That is because the Hallmark channel disembarked on the port cities of Wilmington, NC and Charleston, SC in September to film the USS Christmas. According to Crown Media, 1.7 million viewers watched the premiere Thanksgiving weekend on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, elevating Hallmark Channel’s sister network to the second highest rated entertainment cable network that week.
