Kristi Vincent Johnson
Kristi Vincent Johnson, a Louisiana native, is a performer, choreographer, creative director, and educator. She has performed and choreographed such productions as Black Nativity, The Color Purple, Ragtime, Fiddler On The Roof and Crazy For You. Her work has been commissioned by the Ernie Barnes Foundation and the American Dance Festival. She made her directorial debut with The Justice Theatre Project’s filmed production, The River Speaks of Thirst, featuring a collection of poems by the NC Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Dance at North Carolina Central University and the artistic director of The Repertory Dance Company at NCCU. Kristi Vincent Johnson received her MFA in Modern Dance from Texas Christian University and her Doctorate of Education in Kinesiology from UNC Greensboro.
